We are excited to share that CARES lab member Lily An has been accepted to the inaugural Justice Education Policy Institute for Developing Scholars (https://coe.uga.edu/events/jep) as well as the UCLA location of the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science (https://sicss.io/about). From their respective websites, "the goal of the Just Education Policy program is to inspire and engage the next generation of racial justice-focused education policy scholars," and "SICSS were created to provide free training to the next generation of researchers at the intersection of social science and data science— and to incubate cutting-edge research across disciplinary boundaries." In both programs, she will focus on the role and use of test scores in causal inference methods.
